2, PC diffuser is suitable for side-light LED lighting fixtures, such as flat panel lights, professional viewing lights, usually used with light guides

3, PS diffuser is mainly used for some low-grade ordinary LED lights.

Second, the diffusion principle of the diffusion plate:

When light passes through a medium and encounters a medium different in its refractive index or density, multi-directional refraction, reflection, and scattering phenomena occur. This phenomenon is generally called a diffusion phenomenon, such as encountering a particle diameter of less than or equal to the wavelength. It also causes diffraction. The light diffusing plate is processed by different means of sheet metal, and the diffusing particles which are interfering with the light cause the light to pass through the substrate, and the refractive index is different, thereby achieving multiple refraction, uniformly dispersing, reflecting, scattering and adjusting the light. The direction makes the point source become a surface light source, and the light is softer and glare-free due to the loss of part of the light.

Third, the characteristics of the light diffuser:

Light transmission meets the requirements, saves energy and reduces consumption, and can be interfered on the surface again (for example: sanding, embossing), stable performance, some materials are resistant to UV and weather resistance. For example: acrylic (PMMA), acrylic acid (MMA) does not change color outdoors for 30 years, some temperature resistance is high: for example, polycarbonate (PC), although some performance is not very good but the price is cheap, for example: glass, polystyrene (PS), diffusion plate processing is convenient , can be sawed, can be laser cut, can be carved by engraving machine, can be hot-bent, thermoplastic, has no effect on material properties.

Fourth, the classification of diffuser:

According to the optical principle classification, the diffusion plate is only divided into two types. One is to increase the angle of the beam to maintain the original angle. According to the material classification, glass, polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC) , Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), Acrylic (PMMA), Acrylic Acid (MMA).. .. etc. Translucent polymeric materials or synthetic materials can be made into diffusion materials for different purposes.
